Tips on how to say not yet:
  • “I don’t want to risk getting pregnant.”
  • “I’m not ready to have a baby.”
  • “I don’t want to worry about getting an STD.”
  • “I want to hold onto my virginity.”
  • “I just want to have fun with my friends.”
  • “I want to concentrate on school.”
  • “I don’t want to disappoint my parents.”
  • “I want to keep playing sports.”
  • “I want to go to college.”
  • “I have my period.”
  • “If you care about me, you’ll respect my decision to wait.”

Other tips:

  • Don’t put your self into a situation where you’re alone with your date.
  • Avoid drugs and alcohol because they can effect your decision-making ability.
  • Hang out with friends that have also made the decision to wait.
